I’m a refugee?

You’re technically only a temporal refugee if your MTP has declared you one. They will have given your paperwork to Project Zero, which will help you get settled in.

Alternately, they might have escorted you here because, while not technically a refugee (Which requires your thread to not exist anymore, or you not be connected to it), you would have died if returned to it. The most common situation is you were going to die, and a time traveler, one who didn’t fully understand how it worked, ‘saved your life’.

This does not, in fact, save your life. You’d end up dead anyway if you kept trying to live there. And temporal enforcement agents sometimes do have a heart.

You are not technically a refugee at that point, although if you stay long enough here your thread will become inaccessible to you and at that point you can apply for official status.
