Dyani had lived through the complete collapse of a government and economy right as she entered the construction workforce, so had spent almost two decades there attempting to make affordable housing, and by affordable she meant ‘almost free’ and by housing she meant ‘what can I convert so people can live in it’. She worked mostly in Oklahoma, near and on the Cherokee reservation that she grew up on.

When she got to Haven, to a nearly empty island that had actual funded construction sites, she realized she could now do real things, and spent decades organizing and building houses and roads and everything Haven needed.

She had been invited into the Tuesday Group as soon as it started up, mostly because the lack of housing was an important issue, but all she could really do was assure everyone that she was building literally as fast as she could, and she could build faster if Project Zero would stop micromanaging her.

Which the group did start asking them about, and she and many other people who worked for Project Zero were given more autonomy in HY 16.

She mostly continued to attend the meetings the entire time they existed, but was infamous for not really contributing a lot. She didn’t really appear to have an option on how the government should work as long as the government left her alone to keep making houses, and occasional new roads or boat docks or whatever needed building, as best she could.
